Timmins Tasty Tipper......
Dave Timmins Transport has just taken delivery of a new R420CB8X4MHZ Aggregate tipper
The new addition will make a total of 6 Scania trucks operated by Dave and his partner Patricia. The new vehicle will be driven by Dave himself and occasionally Pat also takes to the wheel covering holidays etc.
Women drivers are common place now in the haulage industry but it’s quite a rare sight to see them behind the wheel of a contraction tipper, Pat just takes it in her stride! Said Dave she likes a break from the routine office workload.
All of the trucks are on contract to Shropshire re-cycled stone and as the name implies they deliver recycled stone products all over the Midlands region. The operation was founded in the year 2000 and at that point forged a business relationship with West Pennine trucks and Scania as their supplier of trucks and maintenance.
Dave’s philosophy is clear " we operate trucks in some pretty harsh conditions and believe me our trucks work hard, Scania has proven to me time and time again that they are up to it I know our trucks look quite glamorous with their customised light bars and striking livery but they really do work, therefore reliability is key to our success"
Dave’s family have been associated with haulage since 1956 and Dave purchased his first Scania in 1983 which was a 4x2 112 tractor unit this means that he has been buying Scania trucks for the past 24 years.
The latest vehicle was sold by West Pennines Trucks salesman Tim Jordan based at Telford and is on a maintenance package as are all of Dave’s trucks "Mick Beckett and his team really look after us well the service that we receive is excellent" commented Dave.
